Heru Wins 269 Awards as Acting Jakarta Governor

Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono won 269 awards during his leadership for several sectors such as government, development, economy, and up to environment.

Highest appreciation for all

Those awards were given during October 2022 to October 1, 2024.

Heru said, this award is a real manifestation of the synergy of Regional Apparatus, stakeholders, and the community. This will be a spirit for future achievements.

"Highest appreciation for all Jakarta Provincial Government ranks, stakeholders, and community for giving the best for Jakarta. This should become our spirit to achieve higher. I hope the next Jakarta leader will be able to continue this and realize Jakarta as global city," he said, as quoted from Jakarta Provincial Government's press release, Monday (10/14).

Of the 269 awards won, the government sector received 63 awards, the economic and financial sector received 83 awards, the development and environmental sector received 18 awards, the public welfare sector won 45 awards, and Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) received 60 awards.

The economic sector received the most awards thanks to the various efforts made by the Jakarta Provincial Government in maintaining regional economic growth which also has an impact on the national economy. This is in line with the slogan of Jakarta's Success for Indonesia carried by Heru.

Jakarta Statistic Center Agency (BPS) noted that Jakarta's inflation rate in August 2024 was 1.98 percent. It is 2.12 percent lower than the national inflation in August 2023 year on year (YoY).

The controlled inflation rate led Heru to receive the Appreciation Award for the Performance of Acting Regional Heads at the Provincial level from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) in the Very High Fiscal Special Appreciation category in August 2024.

The Jakarta Provincial Inflation Control Team (TPID) also won the Best TPID award in the Provincial Category in Java and Bali in the TPID Awards. The award was given by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo to Heru on August 31, 2023.

Another prestigious award in the economic sector won by the Jakarta Provincial Government is the increase in digitalization of regional transactions to accelerate economic growth. In 2023, the Jakarta Provincial Government won the Best Team for the Acceleration and Expansion of Regional Digitalization (TP2DD) I award at the Java Province Level.

Jakarta Provincial Government also won the Best TP2DD II award at the Java-Bali Provincial Level this year. This award is the result of synergy and innovation from 45 TP2DD member agencies.

The government sector also showed good performance by maintaining an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) on the Audit Result Report (LHP) of the Indonesian Audit Board (BPK). This predicate is thanks to the optimization of the realization of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).

Other prestigious achievements in the government sector is the Public Information Transparency Award and several awards related to digital innovation. This shows the commitment of the Jakarta Provincial Government in strengthening the digital ecosystem and sustainability.

Meanwhile, in the development and the environment sectors, the Jakarta Provincial Government won the Green Leadership award and the Adipura Cup. As a form of appreciation for the greening and environmental conservation efforts carried out, the Jakarta Provincial Government also received the Indonesian World Record Museum Award Charter for 6,560,396 plantings carried out, including 246,651 shade and productive trees, 6,158,518 ornamental plants, and 155,227 mangrove trees. These various awards prove that Jakarta is one of the best provinces in managing the environment.

The health sector also gave the most awards in the field of public welfare. Jakarta succeeded in reporting national health indicators and eliminating malaria.
